Frühling was born at the intersection of healing & inspiration.
Our Story
After years working in high-stress creative environments — building campaigns for media companies, wellness brands, and cultural institutions — I found myself completely burned out. My body was inflamed. My energy, drained. My health, unraveling. Psoriasis flared. Hormones spiraled. And amid the exhaustion, one truth became crystal clear: if I wanted to feel good again, I had to start with food.
So I returned to the basics — an anti-inflammatory, Mediterranean-inspired diet rooted in nutrient dense whole foods.
Living in Europe at the time offered an abundance of inspiration…but there was still a challenge: how do you translate a whole-food lifestyle into a modern, on-the-go life?
Everything I found on the shelf was filled with refined sugar, cheap oils, strange additives, or rancid nuts—or it tasted like cardboard. Aside from a piece of fruit, there weren’t many convenient, grab-and-go options that met my expectations.
I wanted something that felt filling and elevated, like a fine pastry or small luxury. Something I’d be proud to serve on a cheese board or savor at the top of a hike. Something intentional, functional, and beautiful.
Drawing on years of experience in wellness, sourcing, and storytelling, I began to create my own mix of dried fruits and nuts using ingredients I sourced from all around markets in Berlin - the Turkish Markt, Bio shops, farmer’s markets. And then I discovered Bronte Pistachios used by a fine Italian bakery in Markthalle Neun…and they were extraordinary… with vibrant colors, rich flavor and story. Totally different than any pistachio I’d ever tried in America.
That’s when Frühling started to take shape.
Carefully chosen superfoods. Heritage ingredients from small farms. The more I learned about the exquisite care taken by the farmers to create these marvelous, nutrient and mineral-rich ingredients, the more this vision gained momentum.
